Brasstown Bald via Jack's Gap

Experience this 5.9-mile out-and-back trail near Blairsville, Georgia. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 4 h 2 min to complete. This is a popular trail for hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are January through November. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.

Byron Reece, Slaughter Creek, and Blood Mountain via Appalachian Trail

This trail is a challenging but scenic route that goes through woods for much of the trail. Along the way, you will pass many campsites and points of interest, such as Brandenburg Steps, Blood Mountain Overlook, and Blood Mountain Shelter. Also, you will pass several intersections: Jarrard Gap, Duncan Ridge Trail Junction, and Freeman Trail Junction. The Freeman Trail is especially difficult, so please be extra careful. Byron Reece Trailhead Parking has limited parking spots and no restrooms.

Unicoi Gap to Chattahoochee Gap

This route follows a section of the famous Appalachian Trail, starting from the Unicoi Gap and ending at the Chattahoochee Gap. Along the way you will enjoy some stunning views as you take on a challenging incline with some steep and rocky sections along the way. You will pass by Blue Mountain, Red, Spaniards Knob, and Jacks Knob.
